The Barbados Film and Video Association is pleased to invite you to our Annual General meeting. The meeting will be held virtually on Sunday, March 26th at 6:30pm. This is an opportunity to learn more about the association and its objectives, as well as to discuss potential new initiatives and strategies for the upcoming year. We value the input of our members and would be delighted if you could join us for this important event.

An Overview of the Roles of the Executive Board of Directors for the BFVA
The Board Members are responsible for providing guidance, leadership, and oversight to the organization. An overview of the roles open for nominations are as followed:
The President is responsible for overseeing the general operations and strategy of BFVA, while the 1st and 2nd Vice President are responsible for assisting the President with the operations, and can also act as a proxy for the President in their absence. They also head important committees such as the Advocacy and By-Law Review Committee, Festival Committee, Membership and Outreach Committee and Public Relations Committee.
The Secretary is responsible for keeping records of minutes, memberships, and other administrative documents. The Treasurer is responsible for managing the financial resources of the organization and ensuring that the organization is operating within its budget. The Assistant Secretary-Treasurer aids them in the completion of their tasks.
The Public Relations Officer drafts the company’s public relations strategy for the year. Promote BFVA activities such as workshops, the Visual Media Festival, etc. to the public using all available and approved methods of communication.
The Membership Officer create an engagement plan for existing members. Send monthly correspondence to members on organizational activities and news and draft ways to attract new members and ensure that all opportunities presented to the board which may be beneficial to the members are communicated to them. Conduct research together with floor members to gauge, measure and monitor membership engagement.
